1 Out of 3 Company Culture Initiatives Fail: Here Is the 1 Key Element You May Be Missing

By  James Key Lim

Today, we’re going to cover the One Key to lasting and sustainable company culture initiatives.

I get a lot of these questions every day from executive and entrepreneurs about:

How to do this?
How do I improve?
How do we behave with our values?
How do we set up culture that’s engaging?

Trust Level

The thing that I’d go and ask about right from the start is, “What is your trust level?”

All that you do that is not based upon that foundation is going to eventually fail.

So the idea is establish your trust level.

Measure your trust level.

Create Trust

The next question would then be, “How do you create trust?”

What I believe fundamentally is that trust is created very simply – not easily but simply – by showing that you really care.

Start with your best leaders.

Show them how you really care that’s going to build the trust with them, and then trickle down or ripple the effect of that culture by having your best leaders speak with their team members and show them that they really care.

It’s not an email— it’s a conversation.

It’s about asking them about not only their work but their life, and really show them that you care.

So ultimately, if you’re looking for organizational change and if you’re looking for a company culture initiatives to work, make sure you have this foundation or it won’t be lasting or sustainable or scalable, of course.
